The Reese, a part of Harlingen history, has undergone extensive renovations and is ready for its grand debut.
Launched in 1925 as a 65 room hotel and most recently used by the Harlingen Housing Authority to provide housing to the elderly, The Reese is located at 202 S. First Street in downtown Harlingen. As more projects roll out over the next few months, The Reese will be a unique multi-use real estate development.
The property, which has 73,000 square feet, is a 5 story building. As it is currently planned the first floor of the building will be restaurant and retail space. The third, and fourth floors are professional office space, with the 2nd floor still available for build out to specifications of lesser. The fifth floor has launched as a large full-service event center and has already booked events into 2019.
Colletti’s has now been open since 2011, offering a gourmet menu of Italian food options for lunch and dinner service. The restaurant has a bar, table seating for 130, an open pizza oven and one of the largest kitchens in Harlingen.
Retail and service options are still available on the first floor. Aflac and Valley Family Dentistry now proudly call the Reese, home. The Reese features premium commercial space, built to suit, which are currently being offered at standard lease rates on a triple net lease.
The office space on the second floor is set to attract a wide variety of uses. This space is also being offered on a finish to suit basis, ensuring that the high quality of the renovation is mirrored in the public business space.
The 5th at the Reese event center is the most popular event center in Harlingen and has hosted an array of events, from small business meetings, to weddings and reunions.
